LESI Rockschool Awards Ceremony 2021 Write Up
Since 2019 LESI Digital Music Education Centre in Brisbane has been flagged as an official examination venue for Rockschool AMEB Australia. Rockschool is a vibrant, contemporary music program of exams and qualifications for electric drums, guitar, piano, popular music theory, music production and more. Rockschool specialises in music of the most popular genres in a range of contemporary styles. Its qualifications are recognised globally with tens of thousands of exams conducted in the UK and over 40 countries around the world.
This year, LESI’s 42 young drummers aged between 7 and 15 completed their Debut to Grade 7 Rockschool examinations and had achieved flying colours in their results. 100% of the LESI drummers received their certificates with full distinctions and merits. To celebrate their hard work and successes, LESI Digital Music Education Centre officially awarded these drummers with their certificates at the LESI-Rockschool Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with the inaugural LESI Family Carnival on Father’s Day Sunday, 5 September 2021.
Families of the school and the local communities turned up in strong numbers and gave their loudest cheers at the awards ceremony. Rockschool’s representative – Queensland State Manager Ms Kiley Tierney was the guest VIP to give out the awards. Ms Tierney also gave a heartfelt and motivating speech to the LESI drummers, encouraging them to continue to pursue their passion and achieve successes in their music journey.
The awards ceremony ended on a high note with performances by the LESI Elite Performance Team drummers and Brisbane’s first kids’ digital music band – MONSTER.
2021 has been a spectacular year for LESI and its little musicians. Together with everyone, LESI looks forward to an even more exciting and fulfilling year in 2022!
