LESI Digital Music Education Centre - Finalist for Queensland Multicultural Awards 2018

LESI Digital Music Education Centre , a merely 2 years old music education establishment has been named as one of the 4 finalists of the Queensland Multicultural Awards 2018 - xxxx category!

The theme this year for the Multicultural Awards is ‘Building a prosperous, fair and harmonious Queensland’, and that’s exactly what the finalists are doing in communities throughout the State. From over hundreds of potential awardees, only the brightest are picked with LESI Digital Music Education Centre being one of the youngest establishment to be recognized.

LESI Digital Music Education Centre is Australia's first and only digital music centre for children and young adults. Annually, LESI holds Queensland's largest multicultural children's charity concert that features various performances groups from all cultural backgrounds, bringing the community together in arts and culture.  Other than promoting inclusiveness at the concert, the fund raising at the annual event directly benefits Mater Little Miracles which  commits itself into  giving all babies the best possible start to life, with medical and research teams working to help save the lives of the tiniest and most vulnerable patients.

LESI Digital Music Education Centre has also put itself out to various other fundraising initiatives including the Melanoma March, Bridge to Brisbane Run and many other events with performances from the LESI Performance Team children. Be it rain or shine, these children commit their time to a good cause, following the school's belief that  music education is for one and all, and that no child should be left behind. Throughout the year, LESI also conducts various free music clinics for the under priviledged children, who otherwise would never have the opportunity to receive a music education.

Ms Rachel Zheng , the Managing Director of the centre has expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the recognition as she mentioned that " the award is a bonus but to be recognized as an education establishment that genuinely believes in the community and promotes multi-culturism in this country, is what matters the most"

Congratulations to LESI Digital Music Education Centre once again for being selected as one of the four finalists for the prestigious Queensland Multicultural Awards 2018.
